SGM 2023 Open House

Visit us on campus throughout the day for fall activities, food trucks, and more! You’ll have the chance to meet our Sunshine staff to learn about what we’re doing in Woodlawn as well as tour our neighborhood with renowned guide and Chicago historian, Dilla of Chicago Mahogany Tours https://www.chicagomahogany.com/ 

Activities running throughout the Open House:     

• Fall-themed activities and games for kids and families such as pumpkin decorating, face painting, yard games, and more!
• Food trucks available for lunch items (First 50 guests to arrive will receive a lunch voucher for a free meal!)
• SGM staff is available to share about Sunshine programming, answer questions, etc.

 

Scheduled Events:

• 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - SGM Panel with Sunshine program participants sharing their experiences with Sunshine programming
• 1pm- 2:30 p.m. - Guided Woodlawn neighborhood tour with renowned Chicago historian Dilla, owner, and operator of Chicago Mahogany Tours
• 1pm - 2:30 p.m. - Participate in an immersive poverty simulation experience developed by SGM staff.
