They are in it for the long haul- In the fall of 2015, WorkLife’s sister program, College LIFE was implemented to strategically invest in the youth’s college career and sustain opportunities through relationship beyond college. College Life started last year at the conclusion of WorkLife and was the vision of Andy Combs and Arnold Sojourner.  The main purpose is to elevate the youth’s thinking, planning skills and vision for their life.

On January 14th, the program hosted its first annual FAFSA Night event which was an effort to bring both High School Seniors and current College students together to encourage, support and equip them. Instruction and assistance on filing their Federal Aid forms were given along with practical college planning. College Life seven students and have made appointments with others for one-to-one consultation. There will be a total of sixteen (16) students enrolling in college this coming 2016/2017 academic year. At Sunshine, we celebrate this success and look forward to the successes of each student.
